The comparison table: 11 tools

Every figure was read from the vendor's own pricing page, help centre or terms on 5 September 2026. Where a vendor contradicts itself, both numbers are printed. Where a page rendered nothing, the cell says so.

Cost per 1,000 emails, computed

Nobody in this category publishes this, which is why the same tool gets quoted at three different prices across three blogs. The arithmetic below is ours, done on 6 September 2026 from the list prices above: monthly list price divided by the emails that plan includes, scaled to 1,000. No add-ons, no assumptions about match rate.

PlanMonthly priceEmails includedCost per 1,000 emails
GetProspect Growth 50k$39950,000$7.98
GetProspect Growth 20k$19920,000$9.95

Wiza Email pay as you go$99500$198.00
Surfe Essential$49150$326.67

The spread is forty to one. The same deliverable, one thousand email addresses, costs $7.98 at the top of the GetProspect ladder and $326.67 on Surfe's entry plan. Entry tiers are the expensive way to buy this category, and the cheapest headline is frequently the dearest per unit.

Skrapp's own pricing page cannot decide. Two independent fetches on 5 September 2026 returned Professional as both $29 and $39, and Enterprise as both $262 and $349, with Billed annually attached to the higher figure both times. We print both and resolve neither. ContactOut and Prospeo are absent from this table on purpose: neither renders a price, so there is no honest arithmetic to do. Where we are honestly not the answer

Leadsforlinked is a LinkedIn extractor, not a bulk email database. We hold no warehouse of several hundred million contact records, we do not sell phone numbers, and we run no waterfall across third-party suppliers. If your deliverable is five thousand verified work emails by Friday, a dedicated provider on this page will do that better than we will: GetProspect or Findymail on cost per email, Apollo if you want the sequencer on the same invoice, SignalHire or ContactOut if phones matter as much as inboxes.

What we do sits upstream. We build the list from LinkedIn itself, including lists no database can produce because they are not a database query: the fourteen people who commented on a competitor's post last Tuesday, the people who viewed your profile this week.

Why Leadsforlinked is in this table

Full disclosure: we build Leadsforlinked, which is why we sit in row two rather than at the top of an apparently objective ranking.

One credit is one lead, and duplicates come back

If the same person appears in two extractions, the duplicate is refunded. That sounds small until you count the pools above: Wiza runs three credit types, GetProspect two, Surfe two, Findymail two. One pool with one exchange rate is easier to budget.

Credits that never expire

Prospeo's help centre states unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and the balance resets. Surfe's terms state credits you fail to use cannot be rolled over and are not refunded on early termination. Apollo's credits page states credits do not roll over upon renewal. Our packs, from EUR 1.99 for 500 leads, never expire, which matters most if your prospecting is seasonal.

Eight sourcing methods rather than one search box

Search results, post commenters, post reactors, event attendees, group members, post monitors, profile visitors, and job-change signals. An email finder enriches a person you already found. This is the step before, and it is where list quality is decided. Our post commenter guide walks the highest-intent one.

No Sales Navigator seat, and deliberate pacing

Wiza is built around Sales Navigator and Recruiter exports; ContactOut's free plan works on LinkedIn Standard only. Sales Navigator Core is $119.99 per month per seat as of September 2026, and we work on standard LinkedIn search, so that line stays off the invoice (walkthrough here). The extension also paces itself: delays drawn from a normal distribution rather than a fixed interval, several seconds between pages, and a scroll-and-pause before every click. Pacing is the part genuinely inside a tool's control, so that is what we describe.

Get 100 free leads, no card

ContactOut: three free tiers on one website

ContactOut is a data provider aimed at recruiters as much as sellers: a Chrome extension, a cloud Search Portal, an email campaign tool and an API. On its own site, on the same day, it describes its database as both 350M professionals (extension page) and 700 million plus profiles (Team plan features).

The free tier is where it gets strange. All three of these were recorded on 5 September 2026 from ContactOut's own pages: You get 10 credits free with no credit card required; 5 free credits daily; and Free access to 15 credits a day. Alongside them sit 3 phone number reveals per month, a limit of one user per company, and the note that the free plan works on LinkedIn Standard only. We cannot resolve that, and neither can any page currently ranking on this query. The conflict is the publishable fact. Sign up and plan around what your own credit counter says.

The paid ladder is a second problem. Two fetches of the pricing page on 5 September 2026 returned plan scaffolding with empty dollar placeholders: the prices are client-side and absent from the served HTML. The only figures obtainable anywhere are an indexed marketing phrase, plans start at just $29/mo, and a reference to unlimited sales users for $299 on a separate landing page. ContactOut paid pricing is not verifiable by fetch, so we publish none of it as fact.

One structural detail does render, and it changes the calculation: a data-scope toggle offering Exclude US/UK Data 50% off against Include US/UK Data. Your price depends on which geographies you buy, so if you sell into the United States or the United Kingdom, the cheaper number on that page is not your number.

Finally, the fair use wording on paid unlimited plans: 2,000 email credits per account per month and 1,000 phone credits per account per month unless a separate agreement specifies a different limit. Direct dials are billed separately, vary by plan, and the per-plan amounts are not published.

SignalHire: unlimited, capped at 2k credits

SignalHire is a contact data provider sold as a web app, a Chrome and Firefox extension, and an API. Its permanent free card reads Free $0 /month, No credit card needed, and 5 or 10 credits, footnoted that installing the extension gets you 10 free credits every month.

The paid ladder on 5 September 2026, at each card's default slider position: Emails at $69 for 1,000 credits monthly, Phones at $69 for 435, Emails and Phones at $69 for 435, and a Scale tier sold as Let's talk. Annual cards show $57 per month. Every card is a volume slider, so those are defaults rather than the only prices; other steps in the source include $79, $99 and $63. We publish no single SignalHire tier price as the price, because the page renders several per tier.

Now the thing this page exists to show you. SignalHire's higher tiers advertise UNLIMITED exports and an Unlimited Package. On those same cards sits a tooltip reading, verbatim: fair usage policy restricts excessive data extraction. According to the policy, your spending is limited to 2k credits per month.

Both statements sit on the same page and conflict in plain reading. We record both and resolve neither. What we will say is what it means commercially: an unlimited SignalHire plan is a 2,000 credit per month plan with better marketing, so compare it against other 2,000 credit plans on cost per credit, not against the word unlimited.

The pattern repeats. RocketReach's own knowledge base puts a fair usage cap of 10,000 lookups per month on its annual unlimited lookup plans. Wiza's fair use article allows up to 500 profiles enriched in 24 hours, roughly 50 in any 5 minute span, with a hard cap of 2,500 export credits a month for bulk lists. Four vendors, four definitions, one word.

The other eight, briefly

Skrapp.io has the cleanest rules: verification is free, you are charged once per unique email address, and invalid or unknown results cost nothing. Emails only. Prospeo publishes the most precise schedule: 1 credit for a verified email, 10 for a mobile, 9 if the email was already revealed, 0 when nothing is found, and 0 for re-enriching the same record within 90 days across your team. Credits do not roll over.

Wiza turns a Sales Navigator list, a Recruiter project or an uploaded CSV into an export, and states that export credits are not deducted for people already exported or saved to your account. Findymail charges only for verified results and rolls credits over up to twice your monthly allowance, though its free tier is a one-off grant of 10 credits rather than a monthly one. See our Wiza and Findymail teardowns.

GetProspect wins the cost-per-email arithmetic at volume and gives two verification credits per email credit, though every getprospect.com URL returned HTTP 403 to a direct fetch on 5 September 2026, so those figures come from the search index of its own pages. Surfe, formerly Leadjet, states its annual allowance as a yearly pool (1,800 emails and 600 mobiles on Essential at $39 per user per month) rather than a monthly refresh, and its terms say credits cannot be rolled over. On 9 June 2026 its search credit consumption changed to 2.5 times more credits per search. See our Surfe alternative.

Apollo.io has the friendliest rule here: never more than one credit per contact, phone or email. Free is 900 credits a year, expiring each cycle. Lix credits roll over but expire 12 months after being credited. Snov.io's headline $39 Starter is not a working LinkedIn setup: its own pricing page states LinkedIn account slots are bought separately at $69 per month per slot, a real floor of $108. See our Apollo and Snov.io comparisons.

When to choose which

ContactOut if you are recruiting rather than selling and direct dials matter, with a browser open to check the real price for your data geography. Its recruiter surface coverage on paid plans is broader than most of this list. SignalHire if you want emails and phones from one balance and can live inside roughly 2,000 credits a month.

GetProspect or Findymail if cost per verified email is the whole decision: GetProspect wins the arithmetic at volume, Findymail on refund and rollover terms. Apollo for database, sequencer and dialer on one invoice, if you accept credits that expire. Skrapp for the simplest rules, if you never need a phone number.

Leadsforlinked if the people you want are not in anyone's database, because they are defined by what they did on LinkedIn last week rather than by a job title filter. Take the 100 free leads, open the CSV, and count the rows you would genuinely contact. That number tells you more than any comparison table, including this one.

Frequently asked questions

Does an unlimited email finder plan really mean unlimited?

Not on any plan we could check. SignalHire's pricing page carries a tooltip on its higher tiers stating that a fair usage policy restricts excessive data extraction and that your spending is limited to 2k credits per month, on the same cards that advertise unlimited exports. ContactOut's fair use wording sets 2,000 email credits and 1,000 phone credits per account per month unless a separate agreement specifies a different limit. Wiza caps unlimited annual plans at 500 profiles enriched in 24 hours and 2,500 bulk export credits per month. All fetched 5 September 2026.

How many free credits does ContactOut actually give you?

ContactOut states it three different ways on its own site, and we will not pretend one of them is correct. Recorded 5 September 2026: 10 credits free with no credit card required, 5 free credits daily on the Chrome extension page, and free access to 15 credits a day. Also recorded are 3 phone reveals per month, 1 user per company, and a free plan that works on LinkedIn Standard only. Read your own dashboard before planning around a number.

Why can I not find ContactOut or Prospeo prices anywhere?

Because their pricing pages are JavaScript-only and render nothing to a plain fetch. Two fetches of the ContactOut pricing page on 5 September 2026 returned the plan scaffolding with empty dollar placeholders, and prospeo.io/pricing returned only its page title. Their paid prices are not verifiable by fetch, so we publish none. Any blog quoting you a precise ContactOut tier price is copying another blog, not the vendor.

Is a phone number always more expensive than an email?

Usually, and by a lot. Findymail charges 1 credit for an email and 10 for a phone. Prospeo charges 1 for a verified email and 10 for a verified mobile, or 9 if the email was already revealed. LeadIQ charges 1 and 10 under its Universal Credits model. Apollo is the exception we found: its own credits page states that Apollo never charges more than 1 credit per contact and that each verified number costs the same as an email. All fetched 5 September 2026.

Can Leadsforlinked replace an email finder extension?

Not on its own. Leadsforlinked is a LinkedIn extractor: it builds lists from search results, post commenters, post reactors, event attendees, group members, post monitors, profile visitors and job-change signals, then exports them to CSV. It is not a bulk email database and holds no warehouse of contact records. If your workflow is cold email at volume, pair us with a dedicated data provider. If it is LinkedIn outreach, the email finder may be the part you do not need.
