The comparison table

Ten tools, one row each, Prospeo first because it is what you searched for. The two columns most comparison pages omit are the last two: what a mobile number actually costs, and whether the vendor's own pricing page shows a price at all.

Per-email costs are computed by dividing the entry paid tier's monthly price by its included allowance, using figures read from each vendor's own pages on 5 September 2026. Where a vendor states two different figures for the same thing, both appear. Pricing in this category changes without announcement, so check the vendor's page in a browser before you buy.

The free tier, stated two ways

On 5 September 2026, Prospeo's own site gave two different answers to "what do I get for free".

  • help.prospeo.io lists the Free plan at "100 credits per month".
  • Prospeo's own comparison pages describe the same plan as "75 verified emails and 100 Chrome extension credits monthly, no demo, no credit card".

Those are not obviously the same offer. One reads as a single pool of 100. The other reads as two pools, 75 and 100, which totals more and is split by surface. It is possible both describe the same underlying allowance from different angles, and it is possible one is stale. Prospeo has not said, so neither will we.

This is worth flagging rather than resolving because it is the pattern across this whole category, not a Prospeo failing. ContactOut states its free tier three different ways on its own site: "10 credits free", "5 free credits daily", and "free access to 15 credits a day". Wiza's pricing page carries both "20 valid emails and 5 phone numbers" and "25 free credits". Kaspr's free B2B email allowance conflicts between its pricing table and its help centre. When four vendors in one table cannot agree with themselves about their own free plan, the practical advice writes itself: sign up, look at the credit counter, and believe that.

The pricing situation is starker. On 5 September 2026, prospeo.io/pricing returned only its page title, with no price content of any kind. Prospeo's help centre article on plans and pricing does not fill the gap either; it defers with the line "For current pricing, visit our pricing page." So the plan names and allowances are public and the prices are not:

TierCreditsPrice
Free100 credits per month, or 75 emails plus 100 extension credits$0
Starter2,000 credits per user per monthNot published
Growth5,000 credits per user per monthNot published
Pro15,000 credits per user per monthNot published

Prospeo does state that "All paid plans are priced per user and are available in monthly or yearly billing cycles", so the per-user shape is confirmed even if the number is not. We will not estimate the missing figures. Any comparison page that quotes you a confident Prospeo price should be asked where it got it.

The credit schedule, which is genuinely good

Here is the honest concession, and it is the most substantial one on any of our comparison pages: Prospeo documents how its credits work better than any other tool in this table, including us. Verbatim from help.prospeo.io on 5 September 2026:

  • Reveal or enrich a verified email: 1 credit.
  • Reveal or enrich a verified mobile number, which also comes with free email enrichment: 10 credits, or 9 if the email was already revealed.
  • No result found: 0 credits.
  • Re-enrichment of the same record within 90 days: 0 credits, and this applies "across your whole team". After 90 days "it's treated as a new request".
  • Export and CRM push cost the same as a reveal: 1 credit per email, 10 per mobile.
  • "All plan credits and purchased add-ons are shared across the entire team."

The 90 day team-wide free re-enrichment is the standout. In a five person team where two people research the same account in the same quarter, most tools in this table would charge twice. Prospeo charges once. We do not match that rule, and saying so is more useful to you than pretending we do.

The catch sits in the same document. "Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and your balance resets. Credits do not roll over." On yearly plans all credits are granted upfront and reset at the annual renewal date. So Prospeo bills you fairly per action and then takes back whatever you did not spend, which is the opposite trade to Skrapp, Findymail, GetProspect and Lix, all of which roll something over.

The other thing to price in: a mobile number costs ten times an email. On Starter's 2,000 credits, that is 2,000 emails or 200 mobiles, not both. Findymail uses the same 10:1 ratio. Apollo charges one credit for a phone, the same as an email, which is the outlier in this table and a genuine advantage if calls are central to your motion.

Prospeo also publishes several claims we are not repeating as fact: 98 percent email accuracy, over 125 million verified mobile numbers, over 300 million professional profiles, a 7 day refresh cycle and a 5 step verification process. No methodology, sample or audit accompanies any of them. That is the category norm, and it applies to our marketing too.

The comparison farm at prospeo.io/s

Prospeo runs a programmatic set of pricing-comparison pages on its own domain at prospeo.io/s/, targeting rivals including GetProspect, Surfe, ContactOut, Hunter, Instantly and Overloop. As of 5 September 2026, no methodology is published on those pages: no test date, no sample, no statement of where the rival figures came from, no note of when they were last checked.

This is the second such operation we have documented in this category. Derrick runs the other one. Findymail publishes competitor-alternative pages on its own domain too, though on a smaller scale. The pattern is now common enough to be worth a rule: when a vendor publishes a page about a competitor's pricing, that page is marketing, and its numbers are not a source. Use it to find out what a tool claims about itself, then go and read the competitor's own page.

Two things make Prospeo's farm particularly worth noting. The first is that a vendor whose own pricing page renders no prices is publishing pages about everybody else's prices. The second is the effect on you as a searcher: several of these farm pages rank, which means a meaningful share of the "what does X cost" results you see are written by X's competitor, with no methodology and no date.

We are not exempt from that critique and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise. This page is also written by a competitor. The difference we are trying to hold is procedural rather than moral: every figure here names the vendor page it came from and the date it was read, we print both numbers when a vendor contradicts itself instead of choosing the flattering one, and we say plainly which figures we could not verify. Judge the page by whether it does that, not by who wrote it.

Who should stay on Prospeo

You need mobile numbers as well as emails, from one balance. Prospeo sells both from a single shared pool with a published exchange rate, which is simpler than Surfe, GetProspect, Wiza and ContactOut, all of which run separate phone pools and most of which do not publish the phone price.

You work in a team on overlapping accounts. The 90 day team-wide free re-enrichment is worth real money at any headcount above two, and nobody else in this table publishes an equivalent.

You want to know exactly what an action costs before you take it. Prospeo's schedule is unambiguous. If predictable per-action billing matters more to you than rollover, this is the tool in this table that gives it to you.

Reasons to look elsewhere, all practical. If your usage is seasonal, the no-rollover rule quietly bills you for months you barely used, and Skrapp, Findymail, GetProspect or Lix all treat you better on that axis. If you need to budget before you buy, the absence of any published price is a genuine obstacle and there is no way around it except a sales conversation. And if emails are all you need, Skrapp at $0.0145 to $0.0195 each is likely to be cheaper, though you cannot confirm that without Prospeo's number.

Who is better served by an extractor

Disclosure again: we build Leadsforlinked. It is a Chrome extension that reads LinkedIn result pages and writes the profile records into a CSV. It finds no email addresses and no phone numbers. On the job Prospeo does, we are not a substitute.

It is on this page because a lot of "Prospeo alternative" searching is really about the step before enrichment. A data provider makes an existing list more useful. It cannot decide who belongs on the list. If that is your bottleneck, comparing email finders will not resolve it.

Our terms, stated with no accuracy claims attached, because we do not publish figures we cannot show you the method for:

  • 100 free leads on signup, no card, released in batches of 20 rather than all at once.
  • 1 credit equals 1 lead, and duplicates are refunded.
  • Packs from EUR 1.99 for 500 leads, and packs never expire. Nothing resets at the end of a cycle.
  • Subscriptions: Basic EUR 4.99 per month, or EUR 2.99 per month billed yearly. Starter EUR 29 adds outreach campaigns. Diamond Pro EUR 79 adds the AI Responder. Diamond Plus EUR 149.
  • Sales Navigator is optional.
  • GDPR, EU infrastructure, built in France.

We will not tell you this is safe or sanctioned, because nobody here can honestly say that. What we will say is that the free tier is large enough to judge the output. Take the 100 leads, open the file, count the rows you would actually contact.

The rest of the table, briefly

Surfe is the closest structural match: emails and mobiles from separate pools, CRM sync as the headline feature, $49 monthly or $39 on annual billing. Two things to read before buying. Its terms state that unused credits cannot be rolled over and are not refunded on early termination. And on 9 June 2026 it changed search credit consumption from one credit per 25 results to one per 10, which is 2.5 times more credits for the same search.

ContactOut is the recruiter-facing option and the least legible pricing here: two fetches returned plan scaffolding with empty dollar placeholders. Its own text says plans start at $29 a month. Note the data-scope toggle, "Exclude US/UK Data 50 percent off" against "Include US/UK Data": the price depends on which geographies you buy. Its unlimited plans carry a stated fair use limit of 2,000 email and 1,000 phone credits per account per month.

Apollo charges one credit for a phone, the same as an email, and that is the best phone rate in this table by an order of magnitude against Prospeo's and Findymail's 10:1. It also expires credits at the end of every cycle with no rollover, and its monthly list prices did not render.

GetProspect and Findymail are the straightforward swaps at $0.049 an email on their entry tiers, GetProspect adding a verification pool at twice the finder allowance, Findymail a published bounce guarantee under 5 percent with credits refunded above it.

Skrapp is the cheapest per email here and sells no phones at all. Wiza publishes its fair use caps openly, including 500 profiles per 24 hours on unlimited plans. Lix includes three users on every plan including the free one, and its credits expire twelve months after issue.

Frequently asked questions

Is Prospeo free, and how much do you get?

There is a permanent free plan, but Prospeo describes it two different ways on its own site. The help centre lists Free at 100 credits per month. Prospeo's own comparison pages describe the same plan as 75 verified emails and 100 Chrome extension credits monthly, no demo, no credit card. Both were read on 5 September 2026. We are not picking one. Sign up and read what the dashboard actually credits you.

How much does Prospeo cost?

We cannot tell you, and that is the finding. On 5 September 2026 prospeo.io/pricing returned only its page title with no price content, and Prospeo's help centre defers to it with the line: for current pricing, visit our pricing page. The plan names and allowances are published: Starter at 2,000 credits per user per month, Growth at 5,000 and Pro at 15,000, all priced per user with monthly or yearly billing. The figures attached to those names are not published anywhere we could reach.

How do Prospeo credits work?

This is the part Prospeo does better than anyone else here. Verbatim from its help centre on 5 September 2026: a verified email costs 1 credit; a verified mobile number costs 10 credits, or 9 if the email was already revealed; no result found costs 0; re-enriching the same record within 90 days costs 0 credits across your whole team, and after 90 days it is treated as a new request. Export and CRM push are charged at the same rate as a reveal. Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and the balance resets, with no rollover.

What is prospeo.io/s?

It is a programmatic set of pricing-comparison pages that Prospeo publishes on its own domain, comparing rival tools including GetProspect, Surfe, ContactOut, Hunter, Instantly and Overloop. No methodology, test date, sample or data source is published on those pages. Treat them as vendor marketing rather than as a source for a rival's numbers, and note the irony that a vendor whose own pricing page renders no prices is publishing pages about everyone else's.

What is the best Prospeo alternative if I need the list itself, not enrichment?

An extractor rather than a data provider. Prospeo, GetProspect, Findymail, Skrapp and Surfe all serve records from their own database once you know who you want. Lix, Wiza and Leadsforlinked export the LinkedIn result set you are already looking at into a spreadsheet. If the hard part is deciding who belongs on the list, that is a different purchase. Leadsforlinked gives 100 leads free with no card so you can open the CSV before spending anything.
